On Saturday, January 24, a cadet delegation traveled to the African Cadet Cup in Casablanca, Morocco.

Soukayna Moreira (-52 kg, Judo Club Stroossen / Sports Lycée) shone! Competing in her first year as a cadet, she had a flawless run with three consecutive victories against opponents from Morocco, Canada, and Niger, taking home the gold in a category of six participants.

On the boys’ side, Ugo Marchiori (-55 kg, JJJ Dudelange / Sports Lycée, WRL #175) delivered a strong performance with two wins and two losses, finishing 5th in a category of 13 judokas.

These results give the young athletes valuable points toward the world rankings.
