Having joined Judo JuJitsu Dudelange in 2013, he quickly became deeply involved in Luxembourgish judo. Shortly after his arrival, he joined the Grading Commission, where he actively contributed to evaluation work and to raising the overall technical level of judo in Luxembourg.

Alongside this role, he also joined the national team as assistant coach. Over the years, he has supported many judokas and has made a major contribution to the development of judo in Luxembourg, both on and off the tatami.

After retiring from coaching some time ago, he concludes this journey in the best possible way: a formal examination before the commission, including a technical and theoretical assessment on the Itsutsu no kata, successfully validating his 7th Dan.

He now joins the small circle of high-ranking grades in the country, alongside notably Gaby Wagner, also from Judo JuJitsu Dudelange, who was promoted to 6th Dan in December 2025. A strong recognition for a career fully dedicated to judo and its development in Luxembourg.

Even after his sporting retirement, Philippe remains involved in the Grading Commission, where he continues to contribute voluntarily to the improvement of judo standards in Luxembourg.
