Final Curtain for the Games of the Small States of Europe , Andorra 2025

1x Gold 🥇, 1x Silver 🥈 and 2x Bronze 🥉 in individual, plus 1x Bronze 🥉 in the women’s team event

This is the impressive result of our young and talented Luxembourgish team at the Games of the Small States of Europe in Andorra, held from May 26 to 31, 2025 🇦🇩!

After two editions (2019 and 2023) without a gold medal in judo, Anetta MOSR (Judo Club Beaufort-Echternach, COSL Promotion squad member) finally ended the “dry spell” this year! In a highly competitive weight class (-63 kg), the elite athlete from the Luxembourg Army left no chance to her opponents and secured a well-deserved 1st place 👑.

Strong performances also came from Carla TAVARES (JC Beaufort-Echternach, elite athlete from the Luxembourg Army), who earned a well-deserved silver medal in the -52 kg category, as well as Lena SCHMIT (-52 kg, JC Beaufort-Echternach) and Kevin NUNES DOS SANTOS (-73 kg, Judo & Jiu-Jitsu Club Differdange, Sportlycée), who both proudly claimed bronze medals 🥉!

Congratulations to Anetta, Lena, Carla, and Kevin for your medals! 👏

The women’s team also made it to the podium after a series of intense matches. Well done to them for this hard-earned bronze medal 🥉!

The men’s team finished in a respectable 5th place. Composed of only two judokas, they came very close to the podium.
Special mention to Bilgee Bayanaa, who narrowly lost — by a small yuko scored just 10 seconds before the end — against a Cypriot opponent in the -100 kg category, despite his rival being two weight classes heavier and the individual gold medalist in that same division.

A big BRAVO as well to our entire team for your commitment, determination, and performances — we are extremely proud of all of you! 👏
