Competing in the +100 kg category, the Judo Club Stroossen judoka won three of his four contests, defeating Dave MASSOP (NED), Jack AYLIFF and Isaac BOLTON (GBR). His only defeat came against Austria’s Movli BORCHASHVILLI.

With a second-place finish among five competitors, Nick KUNNERT became European vice-champion. He took part in the competition as a prison officer at the Uerschterhaff Penitentiary Centre, alongside representatives of law enforcement and uniformed services from several European countries.
